Earthworks and landscaping with care for your property

Based in Eight Mile Plains, Dig Em Up Earthworks helps homeowners, builders and landscapers across Brisbane and nearby suburbs get their outdoor projects done. From excavation and site cuts to landscaping, turf laying and retaining walls under 1 m where engineering isn’t required, we take care of more than the groundwork.

We handle our jobs from start to finish with our own team, without outsourcing labourers. Our compact machines suit smaller sites and tight access, and our own tipper lets us remove unwanted soil and debris. We’ll check access and explain what’s involved before you book.

A few things to know before we dig

Can you work in my suburb?

Our regular local coverage is mainland suburbs within roughly 50 km of Eight Mile Plains, excluding the Gold Coast. With advance planning, we can also travel to the Sunshine Coast, Gympie and up to Maryborough. Multi-day northern jobs can be arranged too. Send us your address, job details and timing so we can confirm availability.

What earthworks and landscaping jobs can you do?

We handle mini excavation, site cuts, levelling, trenching, post holes and footings, plus landscaping and turf laying. We also offer pool demolition and pool digs, small demolition, retaining walls and blockwork features, and site cleanups with soil and debris removal using our own tipper. Retaining walls are limited to under 1 m (1000 mm) where engineering is not required.

Do you lay turf and finish the landscaping?

Yes. We do the landscaping as well as the earthworks, including preparing the ground and laying turf. Our own team handles jobs from start to finish without outsourcing labourers. We’ll agree on the full scope with you before work starts.

What retaining walls can you build?

We build retaining walls, including blockwork walls, under 1 m (1000 mm) only where engineering is not required. We do not take on retaining walls 1 m or higher or walls that require engineering. Share the proposed height and site details so we can confirm whether the work is within our scope.

Can you remove soil and debris from my site?

Yes. We have our own tipper and can remove unwanted soil, spoil and debris as part of site cleanups, excavation or demolition work. We’ll confirm what needs removing and include the agreed removal work in your quote.

How much will the work cost?

Pricing depends on the job size, access, ground conditions and material to be moved. Tell us what you need done for a free, no-obligation quote. We’ll explain what’s included before you book.

Can your machines fit through narrow access?

Our compact machines suit many sites with limited access. Share the narrowest width, any steps or slopes, and anything overhead that could be in the way. We’ll check the access before confirming your job.

Are you insured for the work?

Yes, we’re fully insured. If you’d like to discuss the cover for your job, just ask when requesting a quote. We can talk through your questions before you decide to book.

Can you help builders and landscapers?

Yes, we work with builders, landscapers and other trades on trenches, footings and site preparation. Share your plans, measurements and preferred timing, and we’ll discuss the work and how it fits into your project.

How will you look after my property?

We’ll discuss the access route, nearby features and any protection needed before starting. Digging can disturb the ground, but we take care around your property and tidy the work area when we finish.

What should I prepare before you arrive?

Share any plans or measurements, explain how we can access the site, and tell us about known underground pipes or cables. We’ll talk through the checks and preparation needed before work starts.
